Our answer to a seaside itinerary, this trip promises both the Big Five and the crystal clear waters of Mozambique, to be enjoyed in comfort and luxury. Kicking off in the famed Sabi Sand Game Reserve which borders Kruger National Park, here you can expect to encounter all members of the Big Five and an abundance of other plains game species and birdlife. From Sabi you'll venture north into Mozambique where you'll be able to indulge in the tranquil offerings of Mozambique's island waters. From abundant shoals of colourful fish and well-preserved corals to graceful dhows and colonial-style Portuguese architecture, your time in Mozambique promises much.
SAMPLE ITINERARY - 6 DAYS
Day 1-3 - Your time in Africa begins with 3 glorious days at the restored 1920s-style original homestead of Harry Kirkman, a section ranger who served Kruger National Park between 1933 and 1958. Each day here is designed to thrill and you'll embark on morning and afternoon game drives daily, track and photograph Sabi's wildlife and simply enjoy the luxurious elegance of your accommodation at Kirkman's Camp. You're primarily here for wildlife, so expect to see elephant, hyena, leopard, lion, large buffalo herds, rhino, hippo and the endangered pangolin to name a few.
Day 4-6 - After your time in Sabi, you'll board a commercial flight from Skukuza to Vilanculos where you'll then board a private transfer to the splendidly beautiful Benguerra Island in the Bazaruto Archipelago. This exquisite lodge is located within a marine conservation area and offers gorgeous coral reefs teeming with a variety of tropical fish species. In addition to world-class snorkelling and diving, here you'll also have access to deep sea fishing, horse-riding safaris, helicopter sightseeing, castaway picnics and sunset dhow cruises. You'll no doubt be enchanted!
