Bring The Whole Tribe
RAISING the next generation of conservationists
Here at Diwa Zambezi, we feel very strongly about the wonders and benefits a trip to Africa's wilds, has on a young person's perspective. For at the heart of conservation are people, not only those actively involved in conservation initiatives, but equally as important, those who spend money visiting Southern Africa's habitats and wildlife. And what better way to foster an affinity for animals and the wild in your children, than to take them on safari!
Many members of our team were fortunate enough to spend decent portions of their childhoods in the Zimbabwean bush and this was the beginning of a passionate union which persists to this day. During our time in the bush we genuinely felt as though we were exploring formerly undiscovered territory and despite that, we had such innate faith and confidence during our expeditions. For whatever reasons and as our lives develop into a path of sequential responsibilities, that assuredness and freedom becomes compromised. Every time we return to the bush however, those emotions come rolling back and every day is brimming with excitement, promise and opportunity. As it was when we were children. It might be having an elephant watch you catch a tigerfish or it might be that you feel that many of these wild places have not changed in thousands of years. Whatever it is, the seed that was planted in our childhoods, germinated into all that is Diwa Zambezi today. Give your kids the same opportunity and who knows what might happen :)
